Nota de escopo: Infección aguda de la piel causada por especies de STREPTOCOCCUS. Esta enfermedad afecta con más frecuencia a lactantes, niños pequeños y ancianos. Se caracteriza por lesiones rosadas o rojizas que se diseminan rápidamente y que al tacto son tibias. Las lesiones suelen localizarse en la cara.
