Scope note: Método para diagnosticar una enfermedad en un organismo mediante la inoculación el organismo causal putativo en un segundo animal de especie diferente. Se ha utilizado para la detección de parásitos (Trypanosoma cruzi y Trichinella spiralis) cuando las extensiones de sangre periférica son negativas. (Segen, Current Med Talk, 1995).
