Scope note: Enfermedad común crónica de la piel, determinada genéticamente, que se caracteriza por la presencia de placas eritematosas redondas, secas y escamosas. Las lesiones tienen predilección por las uñas, cuero cabelludo, genitales, superficies de extensión, y la región lumbosacra. Se considera que la característica patológica fundamental del psoriasis es la epidermopoyesis acelerada.
