Scope note: Inflamación en la que tanto los segmentos anteriores como posteriores de la úvea están afectados y en la que no es manifiesto un foco específico. Con frecuencia es intensa y extensa y es un grave peligro para la visión. Entre las causas figuran enfermedades sistémicas, como la tuberculosis, sarcoidosis y sífilis, así como neoplasias malignas. El segmento intermedio del ojo no se afecta.
