Scope note: Pérdida parcial o completa de la visión en una de las mitades del campo visual de uno o ambos ojos. Los subtipos incluyen hemianopsia altitudinal, caracterizada por un defecto visual por encima o por debajo del meridiano horizontal del campo visual. La hemianopsia homónima se refiere a un defecto visual que afecta igualmente a ambos ojos, y que ocurre tanto a la izquierda como a la derecha de la línea media del campo visual. La hemianopsia binasal consiste en la pérdida de visión en los hemicampos nasales de ambos ojos. La hemianopsia bitemporal es la pérdida bilateral de visión de los campos temporales. La cuadrantanopsia se refiere a la pérdida de visión en un cuarto del campo visual en uno o ambos ojos.
