Scope note: Lesión inflamatoria inespecífica de tipo tumor de la ÓRBITA del ojo. Generalmente está compueta por LINFOCITOS maduros, CÉLULAS PLASMÁTICAS, MACRÓFAGOS, LEUCOCITOS y grados vaiables de FIBROSIS. El pseudotumor orbitario a menudo se asocia con inflamación de los músculos extraoculares (MIOSITIS ORBITARIO) o inflamación de la glándulas lagrimales (DACRIOADENITIS).

Scope note: A nonspecific tumor-like inflammatory lesion in the ORBIT of the eye. It is usually composed of mature LYMPHOCYTES; PLASMA CELLS; MACROPHAGES; LEUKOCYTES with varying degrees of FIBROSIS. Orbital pseudotumors are often associated with inflammation of the extraocular muscles (ORBITAL MYOSITIS) or inflammation of the lacrimal glands (DACRYOADENITIS).
