Scope note: Trasplante espontáneo de tejido esplénico a sitios inusuales tras un trauma esplénico abierto, por ejemplo después de accidentes automovilísticos, heridas por arma de fuego, o por arma blanca. Los implantes de pulpa esplénica aparecen como nódulos rojo-azulados sobre el peritoneo, epiplón y mesenterio, que son morfológicamente similares a la endometriosis pélvica multifocal.
