Scope note: Trastorno adquirido que se caracteriza por síntomas recurrentes, referidos a múltiples sistemas de órganos, que ocurren como respuesta a la exposición demostrable a muchos compuestos no relacionados químicamente, a dosis muy inferiores a las establecidas, que producen efectos dañinos en la población general. No puede mostrarse una sola prueba de función fisiológica ampliamente aceptada que se correlacione con los síntomas.
