Scope note: Fármacos que bloquean el transporte de transmisores adrenérgicos hacia las terminales axónicas o hacia las vesículas de almacenamiento que se encuentran en estas terminales. Los ANTIDEPRESIVOS TRICÍCLICOS y las anfetaminas son algunos de los fármacos importantes desde el punto de vista terapéutico que pueden actuar a través de la inhibición del transporte adrenérgico. Muchos de estos fármacos bloquean también el transporte de serotonina.
