Scope note: Tipo de arritmia cardiaca con contracciones pematuras de los VENTRÍCULOS CARDIACOS. Se caracteriza por un complejo QRS prematuro en el ECG que tiene una forma anormal y una gran duración (por lo general mayor que 129 mseg). Es la forma más común de todas las arritmias cardiacas. Los complejos ventriculares prematuros no tienen significación clínica excepto cuando concurren con cardiopatías.
