Scope note: Metabolito lipooxigenasa del ÁCIDO ARAQUIDÓNICO. Es un ligando muy selectivo utilizado para etiquetar receptores mu-opioides tanto en membranas como en secciones tisulares. Se ha descrito que el 12-S-HETE aumenta el potencial metastásico de las células tumorales por medio de la activación de la proteína cinasa C.
