Scope note: Autoanticuerpos dirigidos frente a constituyentes citoplásmicos de los leucocitos polimorfonucleares (NEUTRÓFILOS) y-o MONOCITOS. Se utilizan como marcadores específicos de la GRANULOMATOSIS CON POLIANGEÍTIS y otras enfermedades, aunque no está claro su papel fisiopatológico. Los ANCA son detectados de modo habitual por inmunofluorescencia indirecta con tres patrones diferentes: c-ANCA (citoplásmico), p-ANCA (perinuclear) y ANCA atípico.

Scope note: Autoantibodies directed against cytoplasmic constituents of POLYMORPHONUCLEAR LEUKOCYTES and/or MONOCYTES. They are used as specific markers for GRANULOMATOSIS WITH POLYANGIITIS and other diseases, though their pathophysiological role is not clear. ANCA are routinely detected by indirect immunofluorescence with three different patterns: c-ANCA (cytoplasmic), p-ANCA (perinuclear), and atypical ANCA.
