Scope note: Ecosistema dominado por hierbas (POACEAE) con unos pocos árboles o arbustos. (MeSH/DeCS) Sabana: Región semiárida (cociente de aridez de 1 sobre 7) formada por llanuras salpicadas por arbustos y árboles. Las hierbas características son altas y de crecimiento rápido y entran en estado latente durante e inmediatamente después de la corta estación húmeda.
