Scope note: Especie de PESTIVIRUS que causa infecciones generales (DIARREA MUCOSA BOVINA VIRAL) en el ganado bovino y en otros animales de pezuñas hendidas. Hay varias cepas y dos biotipos: citopático (poco frecuente) y no citopático. Las infecciones oscilan entre clínicamente silentes a graves, aunque no existe correlación con el biotipo.
