Scope note: Neoplasia maligna poco frecuente de las CÉLULAS DE LANGERHANS dendríticas, que presentan características citológicas atípicas, mitosis frecuentes y comportamiento clínico agresivo. Se distinguen de otras proliferaciones histiocíticas y dendríticas mediante estudios de inmunohistoquímica y ultraestructural. Las lesiones proliferativas benignas de las células de Langerhans se denominan HISTIOCITOSIS DE CÉLULAS DE LANGERHANS.
