Descriptor English: N-Terminal Acetyltransferase A
Descriptor Spanish: Acetiltransferasa A N-Terminal
Descriptor N-terminal acetiltransferasa A

RDF Unique Identifier: https://id.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/D063209
Scope note: An N-terminal acetyltransferase subtype that consists of the Naa10p catalytic subunit and the Naa15p auxiliary subunit. The structure of this enzyme is conserved between lower and higher eukaryotes. It has specificity for N-terminal SERINE; ALANINE; THREONINE; GLYCINE; VALINE; and CYSTINE residues and acts on nascent peptide chains after the removal of the initiator METHIONINE by METHIONYL AMINOPEPTIDASES.
