Scope note: La Clasificación Internacional de la Atención Primaria es un método de clasificación para los médicos de atención primaria. Permite la clasificación de los motivos de consulta al médico de familia, de los problemas de salud y diagnósticos gestionados, de las intervenciones en atención primaria y la ordenación de los datos de la sesión de atención primaria en una estructura de episodios de atención. Ha sido desarrollada por el International Classification Committee de WONCA (organización mundial de médicos de familia) y fue publicada por primera vez en 1987 por la Oxford University Press (OUP). En 1998 se publicó una revisión con los criterios de inclusión y definiciones. La segunda revisión fue aceptada en la Familia de Clasificaciones Internacionales de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS). (Traducción libre de: World Health Organization.
