Scope note: Infección sanguínea que se produce en un niño con menos de 90 días de edad. Las sepsis de aparición temprana se hacen evidentes en la primera semana de vida y lo más frecuente es que aparezcan en las primeras 24 horas tras el nacimiento. Las de aparición tardía tienen lugar después de la primera semana y antes de los 3 meses de edad.
