Note d'application: Dominios proteínicos de aproximadamente 120 aminoácidos que forman dos láminas beta antiparalelas perpendiculares conectadas por un bucle de longitud variable y una hélice anfipática carboxiterminal. Los dominios PH están presentes en muchas PROTEÍNAS DE SEÑALIZACIÓN INTRACELULAR y PROTEÍNAS DEL CITOESQUELETO que unen FOSFATIDILINOSITOLES en la MEMBRANA CELULAR y las MEMBRANAS INTRACELULARES, así como en proteínas tales como las subunidades betagamma de las PROTEÍNAS DE UNIÓN AL GTP HETEROTRIMÉRICAS y la PROTEÍNA QUINASA C. Estas interacciones permiten dirigir las proteínas a distintos compartimentos celulares y VÍAS DE TRANSDUCCIÓN DE SEÑAL.

Note d'application: Protein domains of approximately 120 amino acids that form two perpendicular anti-parallel beta sheets connected by a loop of variable length and a C-terminal amphipathic helix. PH domains occur in many INTRACELLULAR SIGNALING PROTEINS and CYTOSKELETAL PROTEINS where they bind PHOSPHATIDYLINOSITOLS within the CELL MEMBRANE and INTRACELLULAR MEMBRANES, as well as proteins that include the Betagamma-subunits of HETEROTRIMERIC GTP-BINDING PROTEINS, and PROTEIN KINASE C. These interactions allow the targeting of proteins to different cellular compartments and SIGNAL TRANSDUCTION PATHWAYS.
