La obstrucción puede ser congénita, adquirida, unilateral, bilateral, completa, parcial, aguda o crónica. Dependiendo del grado y la duración de la obstrucción, las características clínicas, tales como la HIDRONEFROSIS y la nefropatía obstructiva, varían mucho.
