Scope note: Plan adoptado para el establecimiento y aplicación de normas de calidad del agua, con el objetivo de cumplir con la política de control de la contaminación del agua. Se establece de esta manera un conjunto de características físicas, químicas y biológicas, definidas a partir del conocimiento técnico y científico -incluidas pruebas toxicológicas-, que se utiliza para establecer la calidad del la agua para un uso determinado.
