Scope note: Forma principal o polar de la LEPRA en la que las lesiones cutáneas son escasas y están muy bien delimitadas. La afectación de los nervios periféricos es pronunciada y puede ser grave. A diferencia de la LEPRA LEPROMATOSA, la prueba de la lepromina es positiva. La lepra tuberculoide raramente constituye una fuente de infección para otros seres humanos.
