Scope note: Masa pequeña circunscrita de tejido diferenciado en la glándula tiroides. Puede ser patógeno o no patógeno. El crecimiento de los nódulos puede dar lugar a BOCIO NODULAR. La mayor parte de los nódulos aparecen entre los 30 y 50 años de edad y la mayoría son benignos.
