Scope note: Subtipo celular de melanoma maligno. Es una lesión pigmentada compuesta por melanocitos que se encuentran en la piel expuesta a las radiaciones solares, usualmente en cara y cuello. Los melanocitos suelen ser multinucleados, con apariencia de "estrella explotada". Muchos consideran que es la fase in situ del melanoma lentiginoso maligno.

Scope note: A cellular subtype of malignant melanoma. It is a pigmented lesion composed of melanocytes occurring on sun-exposed skin, usually the face and neck. The melanocytes are commonly multinucleated with a "starburst" appearance. It is considered by many to be the in situ phase of lentigo maligna melanoma.
