Scope note: Escala de la calidad de vida desarrollada en los Estados Unidos en 1972 para medir el estado o disfunción de la salud generada por una enfermedad. Se trata de un cuestionario basado en la conducta de los pacientes y cubre actividades tales como el sueño y el descanso, morbilidad, ocio, tareas del hogar, conducta emocional, interacción social y otros. Mide el estado de salud percibido por el paciente y es lo suficientemente sensible como para detectar cambios o diferencias en el estado de salud, que aparecen en el transcurso del tiempo o entre grupos.
