Scope note: Impotencia causada por disminución del flujo sanguíneo del pene. Las arterias afectadas pueden ser la arteria aorta terminal, hipogástrica, pudenda, del pene y cavernosa. El drenaje ectópico del cuerpo cavernoso a través de las grandes venas dorsales superficiales o del cuerpo cavernoso y las venas crurales anormalmente grandes puede ocasionar impotencia venogénica. (Walsh, et al., Campbell s Urology, 6th ed, p720). La expresión "fuga venosa" se ve con frecuencia en la literatura internacional. Fuga hace referencia a la imposibilidad de que la sangre alcance los tejidos peneanos eréctiles.
