Scope note: Procedimiento para eliminar la lente cristalino en la cirugía de cataratas, en el que se efectúa una capsulectomía anterior mediante una aguja insertada a través de una pequeña incisión en el limbo temporal, lo que permite que el contenido de la lente caiga a través de la pupila dilatada hacia la cámara anterior, donde es desintegrado mediante ultrasonido y aspirado hacia el exterior del ojo a través de la incisión.
