Scope note: Afección causada por insuficiencia del cuerpo para disipar el calor en un ambiente excesivamente caliente o durante el EJERCICIO FÍSICO en un ambiente caliente. En contraste con el AGOTAMIENTO POR CALOR, la temperatura corporal del paciente con golpe de calor es peligrosamente elevada con piel caliente y roja, acompañado de DELIRIOS, CONVULSIONES, o COMA. Puede ser una urgencia por ser amenazante para la vida y es mas frecuente en lactantes y ancianos.
