Scope note: Un frente frío es la zona de transición donde una masa de aire frío reemplaza una masa de aire más caliente. El aire situado detrás del frente frío está aún más frío y generalmente más seco que el aire situado por delante de él. Por delante del frente frío las temperaturas alcanzan los 55 y 62 grados. Por detrás del frente frío las temperaturas son menores, entre 31 y 28 grados.
