Scope note: Especie de PARVOVIRUS que infecta a los gatos y produce una enfermedad entérica muy contagiosa. Entre las variantes, en función del huésped, está el virus de la enteritis del visón, el parvovirus canino (PARVOVIRUS CANINO) y el parvovirus del mapache. Tras infectar a sus nuevos huéspedes, muchos de estos virus han evolucionado adicionalmente y se consideran en la actualidad especies diferentes.
