Scope note: Neumonía infecciosa crónica, clínicamente leve, que afecta a los CERDOS y está causada por MYCOPLASMA HYOPNEUMONIAE. El 90 por ciento de las piaras de todo el mundo están infectadas por este microorganismo; esta enfermedad es muy costosa desde el punto de vista económico y afecta principalmente a animales de 2 a 6 meses. Puede asociarse al complejo respiratorio porcino. A menudo se produce una infección secundaria por PASTEURELLA MULTOCIDA.

Scope note: A chronic, clinically mild, infectious pneumonia of PIGS caused by MYCOPLASMA HYOPNEUMONIAE. Ninety percent of swine herds worldwide are infected with this economically costly disease that primarily affects animals aged two to six months old. The disease can be associated with porcine respiratory disease complex. PASTEURELLA MULTOCIDA is often found as a secondary infection.
