No son verdaderos quistes porque carecen de revestimiento epitelial. Se distinguen de los QUISTES SINOVIALES por la falta de comunicación con la cavidad articular o MEMBRANA SINOVIAL.Lesiones seudotumorales nodulares o masas mucoides que se desarrollan en las vainas tendinosas, los LIGAMENTOS o la CÁPSULA ARTICULAR, especialmente en manos, muñecas y pies. No son verdaderos quistes porque carecen de revestimiento epitelial. Se diferencian de los QUISTES SINOVIALES porque no tienen comunicación con una cavidad articular o con la MEMBRANA SINOVIAL.
