Scope note: Trastorno del tejido conjuntivo caracterizado por extenso engrosamiento de la PIEL con un aspecto en empedrado. Se debe a proliferación de FIBROBLASTOS acompañada de depóstito de MUCINA en la DERMIS, en ausencia de enfermedad tiroidea. La mayoría de los casos de escleromixedema se asocian a GAMMAPATÍA MONOCLONAL, IgG-lambda.
