Scope note: Afección caracterizada por DIARREA acuosa crónica de origen desconocido, COLONOSCOPIA normal pero histopatología anormal en la BIOPSIA. Este síndrome fue descrito por vez primera en 1980 por Read y cols. Los subtipos incluyen la COLITIS COLAGENOSA y la COLITIS LINFOCÍTICA. This syndrome was first described in 1980 by Read and associates. Subtypes include COLLAGENOUS COLITIS and LYMPHOCYTIC COLITIS. Both have similar clinical symptoms and are distinguishable only by histology.
