Scope note: Enfermedad caracterizada por polaquiuria, excreción de grandes cantidades de ORINA diluida y SED excesiva. Las etiologías de la diabetes insípida son deficiencia de hormona antidiurética (también conocida como ADH o VASOPRESINA) segregada por la NEUROHIPÓFISIS, la alteración de la respuesta renal a la ADH y la alteración de la regulación hipotalámica de la sed.
