Scope note: Método en el que un cultivo en superficie de un inoculado microbiano se expone a pequeños discos que contienen cantidades conocidas de una sustancia química. De esta manera se obtiene una zona de inhibición (generalmente milímetros) del crecimiento microbiano, que se corresponde con la susceptibilidad de las cepas a la sustancia en cuestión.
