Scope note: Afección en la que el AGUJERO OVAL, situado en el TABIQUE INTERAUCULAR, no se cierra poco después del nacimiento. Esto da lugar a una comunicación anormal entre las dos cámaras superiores del corazón. La permeabilidad del agujero oval no asociada a otras anomalías estructurales del corazón no suele tener consecuencias hemodinámicas.
