Scope note: Déficit visual o procesamiento visual alterado de manera temporal que ocurre en una tarea de presentación visual seriada rápida. Después de que una persona identifica el primero de los dos objetivos visuales, la capacidad de detectar el segundo objetivo está alterada durante los siguientes cientos de milisegundos (100-500 ms). Este fenómeno se denomina "ceguera de la atención".
