Scope note: Isoenzima peptidilarginina-desiminasa. Es una enzima de modificación postraduccional que cataliza la conversión de residuos de ARGININA unidos a proteínas en residuos de CITRULINA de manera dependiente de los iones de CALCIO. Actúa dentro de la epidermis sobre los FILAMENTOS INTERMEDIOS, las QUERATINAS y la filagrina para CITRULINACIÓN para favorecer la cornificación epidérmica.
