Scope note: Mecanismo de defensa de las plantas en el que se detecta un efector de patrón molecular asociado a patógenos vegetales a través de varios receptores, por ejemplo, RECEPTORES DE RECONOCIMIENTO DE PATRONES, que a su vez induce una defensa potenciada y estimulada en la reacción inmunitaria de la planta. Confiere a las plantas una defensa inmunitaria duradera y de larga distancia contra un amplio espectro de patógenos utilizando diversas hormonas o metabolitos de defensa de las plantas, como el ÁCIDO SALICÍLICO y el ácido N-hidroxipipecólico, como señales dirigidas a hojas remotas para potenciar el estado inmunitario con el fin de contrarrestar y limitar infecciones posteriores.

Scope note: A plant defense mechanism in which a plant pathogen-associated molecular pattern effector is detected through various receptors, e.g., PATTERN RECOGNITION RECEPTORS, which in turn induces fortified, primed defense in plant immune reaction. It confers long lasting and long distance plant immune defense against a broad spectrum of pathogens using various plant defense hormones or metabolites, e.g., SALICYLIC ACID and N-HYDROXYPIPECOLIC ACID, as signals to distant leaves for heightened immune state to counteract and limit subsequent infection.
