Descriptor English: Hyperlipoproteinemia Type IV
Descriptor Spanish: Hiperlipoproteinemia Tipo IV
Descriptor hiperlipoproteinemia tipo IV
Entry term(s) hiperprebetalipoproteinemia
hipertrigliceridemia familiar
Scope note: Trastorno familiar que se caracteriza por elevación aislada en el nivel plasmático de triglicéridos sintetizados endógenamente y transportados por las VLDL. Se considera que es un rasgo autosómico dominante.

RDF Unique Identifier: https://id.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/D006953
Scope note: A hypertriglyceridemia disorder, often with autosomal dominant inheritance. It is characterized by the persistent elevations of plasma TRIGLYCERIDES, endogenously synthesized and contained predominantly in VERY-LOW-DENSITY LIPOPROTEINS (pre-beta lipoproteins). In contrast, the plasma CHOLESTEROL and PHOSPHOLIPIDS usually remain within normal limits.
