Scope note: Restricción de una conducta, estructura anatómica o sistema físico característico, como una respuesta inmunitaria, respuesta metabólica o gen o variante génica a los miembros de una especie. Hace referencia a la propiedad que diferencia una especie de otra pero se emplea también en relación con niveles filogenéticos superiores o inferiores que la especie.
