Scope note: Neoplasias benignas y malignas que ocurren dentro de la sustancia de la médula espinal (neoplasias intramedulares) o en el espacio entre la dura y la médula espinal (neoplasias extramedulares intradurales). La mayoría de los tumores intramedulares son neoplasias primarias del SNC como el ASTROCITOMA, el EPENDIMOMA y el LIPOMA. Las neoplasias intramedulares a menudo se asocian con SIRINGOMIELIA. Los tipos histológicos más frecuentes de tumores intradurales extramedulares son el MENINGIOMA y el NEUROFIBROMA.
