Scope note: Técnica para auxiliar la circulación mediante la disminución de la postcarga del ventrículo izquierdo y el aumento de la presión diastólica. Puede lograrse con un globo intraaórtico, o implantando un dispositivo de bombeo especial en el tórax o, externamente, aplicando una presión negativa en las extremidades inferiores durante la sístole cardíaca.
