Scope note: Técnicas para la eliminación de subpoblaciones de células (por lo general células de residuos tumorales) procedentes de la médula ósea ex vivo antes de ser perfundidas. La purga se logra por una variedad de agentes entre los que se incluyen agentes farmacológicos, biofísicos (fotoirradiación con láser o radioisótopos) y agentes inmunológicos. La purga de la médula ósea se usa tanto en los trasplantes autólogos como alogénicos del TRASPLANTE DE MÉDULA ÓSEA.
