Scope note: Pérdida de antígeno detectable de la superficie de una célula después de una incubación con anticuerpos. Es un método en el que algunos tumores no son detectados por el sistema inmunitario. La modulación antigénica de los antígenos diana reduce también la efectividad terapéutica del tratamiento por anticuerpos monoclonales.
