Scope note: Sitios o estructuras moleculares específicos sobre las células o en ellas mismas con los que reaccionan los interferones o a los que se une para modificar la función de ls células. Los interferones ejeren sus efectos pleiotópicos a través de dos receptores diferentes. Los interferones alfa y beta presentan reacción cruzada con los receptores comunes, en tanto que el interferón gamma inicia sus efectos biológicos a través de su propio sistema receptor específico.
