Scope note: Número de hombres y mujeres en una población determinada. La distribución puede estar referida al número de hombres y mujeres que hay en el grupo o a la proporción de ambos en el mismo. La población suele estar constituida por pacientes con enfermedades concretas, aunque este concepto no se restringe a personas ni al campo de la medicina.
