Scope note: Lesiones orales que acompañan al liquen plano cutáneo y que con frecuencia ocurren aisladamente. Generalmente se afecta la mucosa oral, los labios, la zona gingival, el suelo de la boca y el paladar (en orden descendente de frecuencia). Típicamente, las lesiones orales se presentan como líneas filiformes aterciopeladas de color blanco o gris, que forman un patrón reticular en cuyas intersecciones pueden haber unos puntos o rayas elevados de color blanco (estrías de Wickham). Typically, oral lesions consist of radiating white or gray, velvety, threadlike lines, arranged in a reticular pattern, at the intersection of which there may be minute, white, elevated dots or streaks (Wickham's striae).
