Scope note: Tumor maligno compuesto de células que muestran diferenciación hacia el epitelio sebáceo. El tumor es solitario, firme, algo sobreelevado, más o menos translúcido, y cubierto con una epidermis normal o ligeramente verrugosa. Puede ser de color amarillo o naranja. La cara y el cuero cabelludo son los sitios más comunes. El crecimiento puede ser lento o rápido, aunque las metástasis son poco frecuentes. La cirugía es curativa en la mayoría de los casos.
